Last year we were lucky enough to win a voucher for a Pennicot Wilderness Cruise of our choice. One of their cruise options leaves from Port Arthur so it turned out that this weekend was the perfect opportunity to use our voucher. And it also turned out that Sunday was the most perfect day we'd had in a long time to undertake a sea adventure. Perfect.
And the cruise was great. We explored sea caves and chased albatrosses (actually they came to us really), and we saw heaps of seals. It was also really fun as the boat sped from place to place - it was a very zoomy boat. The photos don't do the trip justice - it was great and I recommend it.
It was really fun to see the base of Cape Hauy, which we'd been on top of the day before.
We also saw the highest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere (apparently), at Cape Pillar:
And lots of other geological marvels. All of which I've forgotten but they were indeed marvellous. And there were seals..
Yep, so it was really good. Do it. Ideally with a voucher that you won, as it's not cheap - but totally worth it anyway.
