although I Imagine that their landings could get a little messy sometimes - hooves everywhere.
We are now in Penang, 2/3ish of the way home, having the opposite sort of holiday to the one we've just had in Norway. It's taking some getting used to that's for sure but no-one is complaining.
We arrived late on Friday night pretty well wrecked from the long flights & stopovers (4hrs Dubai, 3hrs KUL) - but I know that (justifiably) gets absolutely no sympathy from you non-holidayers. But I'm sure you're all heartened to know that after a few days by the pool we're all feeling much better if still a bit jet lagged. It's funny as the last time we were at a place like this (a tropical resort) was on our honeymoon in Phuket nearly 13 years ago. Penang (Malaysia) feels very similar although there's more of a mix of tourists I'd say - I mostly remember Germans (who smoked and tipped a lot) in Phuket - there are lots more holidaying locals & and other asian holiday makers here in Penang which is nice. Perhaps because it's a little cheaper than Phuket was. It feels extremely cheap after Norway that's for sure!
