During our Easter holiday last year we all enjoyed our glamping experience in Tathra. In fact we enjoyed it so much that when I saw ads on TV from the Port Arthur Holiday Park, mentioning that they had new safari tents, I knew it would be a pretty good way to have a fun weekend and get a few Great 60s ticked off.
So as soon as the soccer season finished (last weekend) we headed on down Port Arthur and we weren't disappointed with what we found..
Our tent and appliances were all almost brand new, which is probably a good thing as after a lot of use I can imagine they can all get a bit ratty -especially the bbq which is your only cooking appliance apart from the microwave. The holiday park has a nice bush outlook, and it sits just above Stewarts Bay which is really pretty.
In fact Stewarts Bay Lodge (behind Jon in the above photo) looked like a really good place to stay too - we walked through it on Sunday and it was pretty nice - some other time maybe. Both places are within walking distance of Port Arthur Historic Site which is handy.
