This week has been a bit of a struggle. After a big weekend of baking and gardening (see my paving effort around the vege patch), the late nights, long days daylight savings and a bit of a cold have taken their toll and I've felt wrecked all week.
The good news is that I've finally planted my potatoes and it's also possible to walk around the vege patch without sinking into mud or disappearing in the weeds.. I did all this with my free pavers (from Denny) and a $25 load of sand. I also did it without a measuring tape or level or any experience and I think the results really reflect this!
Whilst I did all of my stuff, Jon made six trips to the garden shop for mulch and other bits and pieces. He also bought a $30 bale of mulch for the raspberries, thereby extending their break even date until about 2043. He's having a big week too as he's teaching a training course. We're both looking forward to our trip to freycinet on the weekend.
Oh - and to the people who have enquired if the rain has stopped the answer is yes, it's now hailing AND raining, so it makes a nice change.
