Spring is obviously in need of a little bit of inspiration as I can't even begin to describe the amount of water which has fallen from the sky in the last month. So here are some photos from Summer in 2006 (Zali would have been almost 3). We were on Kangaroo Island.
In other news, I failed to take a great 'before' photo yesterday as a break in the rain meant Jon and I did some work in the garden. For us 'working in the garden' normally means pulling out bushes and shrubs and replacing them with a thick and lush carpet of weeds. When we aren't doing that we are burying $20 notes in the raspberry patch - well the equivalent of anyway - given the amount of money we have spent on them, if we can get the value of each individual raspberry down below about $10 in the next 10 years we'll be happy.
I've got plans to do some paving around the vege patch next weekend (weather permitting) so I'll try to get a 'before' then. This plan is dependent on Denny and Robin being out long enough for me to go and pinch some of their un-used paving tiles. On that note the other day Denny returned home to find me rummaging through their recycling bin (I needed some used newspaper sheets). What an excellent almost-neighbour I am!
