My sister once described me to someone else as the 'Nova Peris-Kneebone of obscure sport' - referring to my representation of Australia at two sports your average taxi driver has never heard of. Lately I think I've pushed the obscurity up a notch by taking up a sport played in only four countries in the world and having less than 50 courts on which to play on. Dad's been playing 'Royal' or 'Real' tennis for ten years or more so I thought it was finally time to give it a go and I'm really enjoying it. It's also really handy that the court is right around the corner from work. I'm playing my first ever match against someone-who-isn't-dad next week and I'm getting a bit nervous - I even snuck into the court at 7 this morning to have an extra practice by myself.
