Up until the last few months we had only really traveled to St Helens for Orienteering since we've been back. Lately though, we've had heaps of reasons to join the tourist trails and we've had great trips to Bruny Island, Cradle Mountain, Freycinet and most recently Strahan. We did the Gordon River Cruise with our South Australian guests and it was fantastic. I was a bit nervous about how the children would cope with the 6-hours-on-a-boat factor but as we got off it a couple of times and they had the constant amusement of their cousins, it all went pretty well. The weather was even nice and sunny. It's a must-do thing (once you've been to Cradle and Freycinet of course. The picture in the middle is actually of the Franklin River - at one of it's quieter spots!
