Lillehammer Day 2

We have a big list of things to do while we are here in Lillehammer, and today we got through a few of them. First was ski-ing of course. We've resolved to ski every day while we are here.

 

 

 So we did that and then it was awesome as you can clearly see.  

After that we ticked off some other things on our list and some extra un-bonus items..

  • Visiting a cafe (special request by Jett - 4 bakery items + 2 drinks = $43 - ouch!) .  
  • Getting a parking ticket for parking in a disabled zone - our defence is that it was impossible to know - annoyingly we carefully bought and displayed our parking voucher but returned to the car to find the inspector giving us a ticket anyway - double pain!
  • Visiting the Olympics Museum. Which was ok - nothing amazing but quite good.

We've still got a long list of things to tick off but I'm optimistic we'll get through most of them while we are here.  We are settling into the Norwegian way of life whereupon the (un-uniformed) kids go to school for approximately 10 minutes a day whereupon they become fluent in 16 languages. Then they return home at about 2pm and have an early dinner (4-5pm), then everyone goes out and does outdoorsy stuff. Today Zali and Jett went swimming with the family, while Jon and I went back to the olympic stadium and went for another ski under the lights. It was awesome, so quiet and beautiful.
