Today we were tourists. And if our confused looks on the train & buses weren't enough to convince anyone of that, the fact that we were wearing bright colours in a city filled of people wearing black and grey would have given us away.
We visited the Kon-Tiki Museum, Viking Ship Museum, Fram Museum & Norwegain Maritime Centre. I'd been to the first two of these in the height of summer with mum many years ago. I remember it was very busy everywhere - today was the complete opposite as apart from a school group in the Fram Museum, we were the just about the only visitors to everything. It was great as we literally had the places to ourselves. The only downside was that the maritime museum threw us out as it closed at 3pm, and we had to speed through the viking ship museum before it closed at 4. Actually that was quite good as we had museum fatigue by then anyway.
We had planned to visit the big ski-jump and the statue park as well, but we simply ran out of time - we'll be back in the next few weeks to do that I'm sure.
The children were so tired on the way home (again in peak hour) that they sat on the floor in a corner of the crowded train and almost fell asleep.
And here's another snow photo just because I can.
