Due to an expired passport, missing birth certificate and missing marriage certificate (me) and a missing birth certificate (Zali) it looked like Zali and I weren't going to be joining everyone on our Family Reunion Holiday in New Zealand next year. I think my missing documents are the result of our recentish house moves as the only official thing I can find is my 1985 Taroona High School short courses certificate (citing my successful completion of Specialty Cooking, Film Studies, Leatherwork 3d, Graphic Design, Communication Skills, Survival Skills and Home Entertaining(?!)). God help me if I'm required to show my university transcripts again as I'll only be able to prove I'm officially qualified to make leather belts, vol au vents, and perhaps set up dated home entertainment systems. I think Zali's birth certificate may have fallen victim to some late night craft activity as we foolishly kept it in her room. Many is the night where I walk down the hallway and the house is silent except for the unmistakeable sound of sticky tape being pulled from a dispenser in Zali's room.
Anyway - I think we're finally making progress with the paperwork as I've now got new and fresh copies of the missing certificates and I just need to fill out the zillion page application forms, get passport photos printed, find a non-related guarantor to sign everything for us, have an appointment to go through everything, pay the fees and then get it all processed... easy.
