It's been pretty um.. 'fresh' down here in Tassie since a nice sunny day we had back in January so today's 28 degree weather was a fantastic and welcome change! To celebrate we booted the penguins, polar bears and icebergs off the local beaches (they weren't getting on well anyway) and went down to Sandy Bay beach in the morning, then Kingston beach in the evening. Zali and Jett tried out their freshly purchased el-cheapo boogie boards with great success. Let it be said that while the air temperature was hot, the water was icy cold. I can console myself just a little with the fact that this is where we parked... actually that looks like we parked on the beach. We didn't quite do that but we parked right next to the beach. For Free. That's not to say we don't miss the warm Sydney water and waves and beach life and stuff, but we do get something good out of swimming with the seals.
