More riding

On Monday Jon and Meisha had to work, so Mick and Mikayla dropped me and my magic e-bike off at the start of the Bay of Fires mountain bike trail and then they went for a run from Binalong day. 

 The trail was beautiful - the views were lovely, the downhills were super fun and once again the uphills weren't a problem anymore.  It felt relatively short at 23kms after the previous days effort

I had originally entertained thoughts of riding all the way home from the end of the trail but my knee was starting to get sore from all the riding (surprise surprise), so I headed to Binalong Bay to meet Mick and Mikayla instead as it was closer.  I was slightly nervous that they would have already left but as it happened I arrived at their car about 30 seconds before they did - luckily I didn't dilly dally much when I was riding.

We got home in time for lunch then Meisha extracted herself from work so we could go for a paddle before they had to leave for Hobart.  It was a bit grey and blustery in parts, but still good fun. Meisha is in training for surf carnivals and was consequently way stronger than me in the upwind conditions.  Nevertheless I'm pretty happy with myself for having clocked up four paddles in the last week now - if strava is to be believed my previous stint of paddling ended in 2018.

 I am really loving being able to just wheel the boat down to the water - not having to lift it up high to get onto the car (particularly in windy conditions) is a real bonus.

We had to say goodbye to our adventure buddies on Monday afternoon - it was a fun few days!
