Last weekend in Tassie it was a long weekend as we respectfully observed both Regatta Day and Hobart Cup Day. Unlike our last long weekend which was definitely a 'big' weekend, I'd have to describe this most recent one as a 'little' weekend. It was filled with little trips - a little trip to the playground, a little trip to the swimming pool, a little trip to granny and grandfathers, a little trip to the beach, a very little trip to the Regatta where we paid a little fortune to watch the kids jump in a giant jumping castle for 10 minutes etc etc. Fittingly we also got a plumber over to install a little sink in the little seperate toilet room. Contrastingly this week will be a big week for Zali as she starts 'Big' school. In tassie 4/5 year olds attend school two days a week (in public schools anyway) and Zali scrapes into contention by being born on the cutoff day. It will also be a big week for cakes as I've got three relatively demanding orders to fit around a shortened week and Zali's new arrangments.
