Right, so if you've been reading the same magazines as I have lately (My Real Living and Denny's Better Home and Gardens) you'll know there are three key props you need in your house to make it look quirky, stylish and contemporary all at the same time. Lets go through them..
First we have the Wall Letters:
Denny and I have always thought that these are a bit bossy - not only that but they tell you what to do in the most obvious areas - i.e. 'Eat' in the kitchen - well thank goodness you told me cos I was just about to start fixing my bike. 'Splash' in the bathroom (oh - so I should pack up my arc welding set then?). and so on... Not wanting to be left out of the trend I've made my own version for our bathroom: 'Mould'. If you've seen it, I think you'll agree it's quite effective.
Your second 'must-have' is the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster. This was originally a British War Poster apparently but it's making a comeback on all the trendy interiors in Australia. I don't have one of these but Denny does - and in her house it seems quite appropriate (4 boys, 3 of them little).
Your third 'must-have' and the most recent trend, is the tram-roll poster or print.. You can buy real ones, or you can buy replica ones - see example.. For authenticity, make sure the one you have has 'Delayed' or 'Not In Service' as the bottom row - cos that means it's real, even if it is a replica.
'Gosh' you're thinking - how can I afford all of these 'must-haves' to make my home stylish and cool? Well dear reader, stand by as I've come up with the perfect solution...
