Last weekend Zali and Jett were invited to a bowling party - out at hobart's only bowling centre in Moonah. I like going there as I don't think it has changed since we went occassionally as kids - and this includes the signage outside which features a large pin in the car-park complete with flaking paint and graffiti. It's great.
When I was a kid I remember maybe knocking down 1 or 2 pins per game, the rest being gutter balls. Now with the gutter bumpers in place Zali and Jett both got respectable 60 point scores which wasn't bad considering that bowling balls are still pretty heavy and the pace at which they were bowled meant the kids could bowl, turn around, skip back to the chairs, eat a bag of chips, then turn again and still be in time to see the ball come to a halt up against the pins.
