We've been back in Tasmania for almost ten years now. Almost every March we've come to St Helens for the 3 days of orienteering on the long weekend. This year we are staying in Binalong Bay for the first time ever- we normally don't because it's at least twice the price of anywhere else around here so it's a bit of a treat to be right on the beach. Today was a pretty grey day with a bit of drizzle, but not cold. And I'd hazard to say that a drizzly grey day at Binalong Day is better than the best day in many other parts of the world - it was still beautiful - the water was amazingly green, and the sands were incredibly white.
And now that we have stayed here, I'm sure the kids will want to come back - we're a 3 minute walk from the beach so after the morning's fun orienteering at Bicheno we came down for an afternoon swim at the beach. There was a wedding too - the photo above, is of some babies' breath which fell out of the bride's bouquet.
Jett and Zali were having a great time with the boogie boards, although Jett did get quite a dumping at one point which took him a while to recover from.
