Euro Day 40 - Island Idle - Part 2

Time is definitely slowing down (in a good way). We only just managed to have breakfast by 11:30 (we renamed it brunch for greater respectability), then we dragged ourselves outside for another stroll around the island and some frisbee in the clearing that the islanders clearly used for their midsummer celebrations a bit more than a month ago.  The maypole with dead vegetation looks a bit goulish now. 

Anyway - we had lots of fun playing frisbee, then we returned to the hytte (summer house) for more puzzle and more idleness. We finally finished the big puzzle we'd been working on so we and celebrated by letting off the overiszed party popper thing that Zali and Jett had somehow snuck into the shopping trolley a few days ago.  Amusingly it shot out a shower of minature swedish kronor -all over the room,  which is amazingly our only contact with actual swedish cash so far this trip. 

Sweden is a very cashless society and I'm pretty sure we'll get out of the country tomorrow without having needed it at all, and that includes our cinamon scroll purchases we made out at the event at each day of O-ringen.

By the later afternoon the weather was improving a bit, turning the sea into much more inviting blue, so we strolled over to what should have been the sheltered side of the island for a swim.  Somehow the wind was also blowing directly into that little bay as well, but by then the sun had warmed the rocks and it was pretty nice.

The pace will need to pick up a bit tomorrow as if all goes well, we will start the day out here in the archipelago, and finish the day at an airport hotel in Geneva.
