River Paddling!

 Today I finally got to go for what could loosely be described as a 'training' paddle which was really nice. We headed to Waimarino Adventure Park which did other stuff (which I'll mention next) but also rented sea and multisport kayaks. I don't think the multisport kayaks get out often but the rental guy was pretty good and even found a banged up old 'wing' paddle which was sort of similar to the one I use at home which was great.  The river went through farmland which could really have been absolutely anywhere except for the occasional kiwi fruit plantations on the banks (right photo) and the rope swings of course.  I paddled for 90 minutes and worked up a good sweat. yay.
