Today started like every second day - with some baking:  

My flour fortunes seem to rise and fall with the tides. 2 days ago the shelves were full, yet when I visited the supermarket tonight I noticed (I wasn't trying to actually buy any) that the shelves were empty again. In fact there was no pasta or toilet paper either. It's so weird as just a few days ago I decided the shortages were over as I also saw aisles full of toilet paper and pasta. I guess until everyone feels they have enough of whatever it is they need,  we'll continue experiencing these waves. 

After the baking I bothered the cat, who was back inside for her first nap of day (of about 6 it seems) 

Later on I  took the kids out for an orienteering run at Mt Nelson which was fun:

Then Zali did some more work on our orienteering map of the house:

Ha. That's not it.  Sometimes my new photos share filenames with other photos I have used on this blog. So when I upload a boring photo of a computer screen, I end up seeing a photo of a rooster made of vegetables.  Normally I just change the file name of the new photo and remove the old one, but the substitution this time was so good I thought I should keep it! Here's the map we're working on though:

We're planning to run a mini family orienteering competition at easter. After a random draw each of us was assigned a course to set for the others. Zali is setting the indoor only, Jon is doing the outdoor only, Jett is doing the score O (get as many controls as you can in a set time limit), and I drew the blue-ribbon event, the indoor-outdoor.  Winning times for each race are expected to be less than 5 minutes so it should be fun.

Then we settled down to watch some TV.   Jon, Jett and I have been watching a series Silicon Valley which is really funny.   Later on Jett and Zali made a self saucing chocolate pudding which was a delicious accompaniment to the show.
