Big Sunday

My good friend Jo and I did the Triple Top mountain running race yesterday at Mt Roland in the North of Tassie.  It felt like a great big adventure and  I'm still feeling elated at having completed it.   For us it involved 4:13  minutes of walking and running which also included the 3 peaks of Mount Claude, Mount Vandyke and Mount Roland, lots of steep ascents and a really wild descent at the end. It was fantastic - our first goal was to finish and the second goal was to enjoy it and we certainly achieved both of those.   I especially enjoyed the moment where we turned a corner and saw the finish line 200 metres away when we still thought we had a couple of kilometres to go.  Anyway - I can recommend this mountain run to anyone whether you plan to walk or run or do a bit of both.  It was all run by the local lions club and cost a mighty 15 bucks to enter which included a bus ride and a bbq afterwards. Gosh tassie is great!
